Pool Parties Still Make a Style Splash

The Williamsburg Waterfront isn't as cool as the (McCarren) pool, but the street-style ground troops were out in full force at the first summer concert (Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof playing Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures/Why?/Fang Island/Pictureplane). The Village Voice did a great job capturing the best looks in this tedious-to-navigate slideshow, so if you feel like seeing all the stuff you'll crave this summer if you aren't already, have a click-through.
If you'd rather skip the fashion stuff and get right to the fun, here are some highlights:
  • Zany Pictureplane band-member chick with giant hot dog-shaped hamburger necklace
  • Man with very bad man-camel-toe(?), rear of photo, left
  • Incredibly stylish Tavi-looking girl (in the stripes on the right) in the front row
  • Picture that Eleanor Friedberger (of the Fiery Furnaces) is probably not very happy about*
  • There needs to be a special prize for this guy. Read his shirt.
The rest of the summer's Pool Party schedule can be found here.

*Ok, I feel bad about that, here's a better one of Eleanor, who is awesome.
